Waylon's first Christmas was way fun. Wassail, Prime Rib and new Vans...who could ask for more? No snow in Hendersonville NC, but Santa still found his way.
Check in from time to time and play along at home, we'll try to keep you posted on what's happening with the (growing)family.

Konichiwa amigos!
Well, my world gets bigger and bigger all the time, but today it got all multicultural and stuff. Earlier, I had my first ever Spanish lesson, and we just got back from my first trip to a sushi restaurant (really, it was my first restaurant of any kind). I really liked the part of the lesson where they sang songs; and I was awake the whole time at the restaurant without crying once. Also, today (it's been a very busy day) I had a full head to toe bath without making a peep; I actually kind of enjoyed it (that's me in the towel). I put up some other pictures of my recent adventures: check us out sitting by the lake at the park, and look at that crazy awesome mat I get to play on. Oh, and I think I've finally had a breakthrough with the kitties around here. That's Sula letting me share Mom's lap with her. I've gotta go catch up on some sleep, my Grandma Eleanore is coming soon and I haven't even met her yet. I'll have some more adventures to share soon, so Adios furenzu!

How's everybody been?
I can't believe its been a week since I've posted anything. It's probably because my hands have been busy flailing around and my face has been all full of crying. Whatever you do, don't say colic; that's a bad word around here right now. But seriously, I've really been crying a lot. It's only been a few days, but I don't think anyone is really enjoying it. In related news, I started eating from a bottle this week, and that was a big deal that seemed to help things. It's a nice change and I get to eat with Dad every once in a while. All in all, I think I'm just settling into being a normal three week old; being perfect was really a lot of pressure anyway. Just in case, I thought I would post some pictures of me being calm and cute, they might be the last ones like this for a while. Peace, y'all.

Happy Halloween!!!
Happy Halloween from Count Dadula and his scary sidekick, the cute vampire bat, 'Lil Waylon (and his Mummy behind the camera, too). We had some scares, we had some fun, and some of us had some candy. We even got a little girl to scream "we went to a Vampire's house" as she ran away. In the end, isn't that all that matters? All in all, Halloween is one of our favorite holidays; and Waylon seems happy to be part of the tradition.

Congratulations Waylon...

...you are still in the running toward becoming America's next top baby model. Now let's see some more of your range. Show us flirty. Suprised. Confused. Pirate? Excellent. We had our two week check-up today and it went superb. So well, in fact, that we don't have to go back until my two month birthday. Oh, and I slept so good last night, we are all very rested and happy. That's all for now, but check in later today for the Halloween photo extravaganza.

It Was A Good Day...

I (this is as if Waylon is writing this, you see) celebrated my one week birthday on Tuesday, and it was a regular hoot. The morning started off with an unexpected visit to the doctor with an eye infection that turned out not infected at all. The up side is that we've learned I love car rides. Later we celebrated by participating in two of the most inalienable rights afforded the modern American: watching the World Series and shopping at Target. So what if the Cardinals won, I got some awesome vintage-style wooden blocks at the store and some great new books came in the mail (thanks Julia and Jay!). Outside of a fun trip to the grocery store (probably something Dad and I are going to be doing a lot), Wednesday was a day for chillin' out and reflecting. And I realized there weren't nearly enough close-up pictures of me on this site. So here you go, check out my pretty face. Cheers.

We Want More

Auntie M says that the Waylon Watchers are demanding a new post and some new pics. So I thought I should share some of me with my fans, for my fans. And just a little quick update on todays activites, we took a nice walk around the neighborhood and we took our first real bath. Both of them were documented on fancy digital movie technology, so keep checking your mailboxes for your copy.

I'm just one of the boys...
I'm just one of the boys
One of the boys
I don't say much, but I make a big noise
And it's growing, yeah it's growing
I'm one of the boys
- Mott The Hoople

Mom is trying to sneak in a nap, so Waylon and Dad thought we would put up some pictures of just the boys over the last few days. Man, we've been through alot together already: first diaper, first car ride to our new home, first trip to the doctor! But just remember girls, we've already got the only pretty lady we need sleeping in the other room.

Family Portrait

As we prepare to check out of the hospital and take Waylon home (YEAH!), we just wanted to let everyone know that we're having another great day. Waylon has already passed all of his preliminary tests, and he has officially been discharged into his new world. Mom is up and out of bed and well on the road to recovery, so we're just waiting for her to get the okay. In the meantime, here is the first official Bornac Family Portrait.
