In between

Chicago is stuck in that place in between yucky weather and good weather. My parents call it spring. But I've heard enough about spring to know that it's not supposed to snow in the spring (like it did yesterday), so I'm a little confused. I got a new raincoat for the continuing crummy days, and I still have to wear my vest outside, but I have a big smile for the days where the sun is bright and the sky is...oh yeah, blue. My dad has already taken me to a Cubs game, and I'm obsessed with walking around outside. Not riding in a stroller, mind you; that's too boring. I want to run and fall down and stop and turn around and dance in the middle of the street when the mood strikes.

Come on, Spring!

Hi people! Sorry it's been so long; I was hibernating for the winter. I don't know why no one told me this before, but it's cold in Chicago!! There are finally signs of spring, so I thought I'd come out and play. Today I chased birds and squirrels around to celebrate. Despite the temperatures, I'm doing great! I'm a mischievous one and a half years old, and running my parents ragged. My favorite foods are nooooooodles and oranges (this is not counting the occasional cookie that I'm allowed--those, of course, are the best). Most other foods I like to throw on the floor. It's really fun; you should try it! I'm getting really good at kicking balls around too. And, as you can see in one picture, I'm an excellent hider when we play hide and seek. Right now, I'm working on learning the names to everything...mama and dada say a lot of words, and I'm trying to keep up. My all time favorite word so far is "L-mo." Have you guys seen Elmo? He's on TV and everything. Amazing. I hope everyone is getting the taste of spring that we're getting here. And I hope you all get a chance to swing on the swings like I do--I promise I'll be more frequent in my postings from now on!
